About GrowthChart
A reference site for height and growth data in India. Not a clinic, and not a shop.
Why this exists
Two of the largest health search families in India — "height weight chart" and "how to increase height" — are served almost entirely by pages with no sourcing at all. The first tends to reproduce American charts or an unattributed insurance table; the second is dominated by advertisements for products that cannot work.
GrowthChart publishes the reference tables that already exist in the public record, with the citation attached, and answers the height-increase question honestly even though the honest answer sells nothing.
Who runs it
GrowthChart is built and maintained by Amit Sharma, a marketer based in Auckland, New Zealand, alongside a family of free data tools published at amit.marketing. I am not a doctor or a paediatrician — which is exactly why this site reproduces published reference tables and cites them rather than interpreting anyone's measurements.
On children's growth in particular
The reader of a child growth page is usually a worried parent, and that changes what a page owes them. These pages will not tell you a child is short, or heavy, or behind. They show what the reference tables say, explain that a percentile is a position rather than a verdict, and point you to a paediatrician — because the pattern over time, which is the part that actually matters, cannot be read off a table.
How it is funded
Advertising, through Google AdSense, and links to my own fitness challenge at PeakForm. There is one promotional block per page, it sits after the content, and it does not appear on the child growth pages at all — a body-transformation advertisement next to a paediatric growth chart would be inappropriate regardless of what it earned.
The sister sites
BMI, ideal weight and daily calories on the Asian-Indian cutoffs live on SehatCheck. Calories and macros for Indian dishes are on ThaliFacts. They share this site's design and its rule about showing the source.
